Jutes
Jutes is the stage name of Jordan Lutes, a Canadian singer and songwriter born in Ottawa on March 28, 1991 and raised in Toronto. He has been releasing music since 2015, beginning in trap-inflected hip hop before moving toward pop punk, alternative rock and, more recently, nu metal and alt-metal. He signed to Capitol Records in early 2020 and issued the EP A Really Bad Dream that year, the mixtape Careful What You Wish For in 2021 and the EP Hot Trash in 2022. During the same period he picked up co-writing credits on Demi Lovato's album Holy Fvck. His first studio album, Ladybug, arrived in 2023, followed by Sleepyhead in 2024, Dilworth in 2025 and Chin Up, Beautiful on August 5, 2026, a record built around a dystopian, post-apocalyptic narrative and his heaviest work to date. The title track of Sleepyhead reached No. 24 on the US Alternative chart and No. 13 on Hard Rock, and the 2025 single It Takes Two also reached No. 24 on Alternative. He was nominated for Breakthrough Artist or Group of the Year at the 2026 Juno Awards. Lutes married Demi Lovato in 2025. Onstage he works with a full rock band, and his 2026 North American run is his largest headline tour so far, with In Color, Mothica and WILT supporting; it follows a sold-out United Kingdom and European tour and a summer of festival dates that included Warped Tour.
