The Ultimate Doors is an American tribute band devoted to The Doors, made up of Darrian Kenney on vocals, Todd Huffman on guitar, Branden Eifrid on organ and Jordyn Huffman on percussion. The group's stated aim is to preserve the band's music and staging for both longtime fans and later audiences, and it builds its show around period-correct instruments and vintage gear rather than a general-purpose rock setup: Huffman plays a Gibson guitar in Robby Krieger's role, Eifrid works a Fender Rhodes piano and a Gibson organ in Ray Manzarek's, and Jordyn Huffman plays an orange Ludwig Classic kit in John Densmore's chair, with the microphone, cabling and stage positions matched to what The Doors used in concert. Kenney studies Jim Morrison's vocal delivery, stage persona and shifting wardrobe closely and reproduces his mannerisms during the long instrumental passages, including spinning, back kicks and dives into the audience. Sets run close to two hours and draw on the catalogue's best-known material, among it Break On Through, People Are Strange, Roadhouse Blues, Riders on the Storm, L.A. Woman and The End. The band tours nationally through theaters and clubs, and reviewers have described the result as closer to a period recreation than a conventional covers set.
