The John Wood Band

The John Wood Band is a six-piece folk-rock group from Wilmington, North Carolina, formed at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. The members describe the group as the product of six completely different influences and one shared goal, and the recorded output sits between folk, pop rock and straight rock. Everything released so far is short-form: the singles Dry Eyes, Better Things, Learn A Lesson, Just A Little Longer and Into The Light, plus the EP Chronology. Dry Eyes is by a wide margin the most-streamed of them. Despite a short history the band books nationally rather than regionally, with more than twenty dates scheduled through September 2026 taking in Charlotte, Baton Rouge, Boulder and Nashville, and it plays Denver rooms including Cervantes' Other Side.
