Gio Chamba is a Houston, Texas act playing psychedelic electronic cumbia, pairing bass-heavy production and hip-hop influences with congas and guitar lines drawn from 1970s Peruvian tropical cumbia. Releases include the albums Cumbia Ninja and Tropidelicos, and the project has shared stages with Ozomatli, Chicano Batman and Dengue Dengue Dengue.
