Cenobia

Cenobia is an anonymous, masked alt-metal solo artist from Sydney, Australia, who writes and performs her own material and releases it independently. The music is tagged across alternative metal, djent and post-metal, pairing clean, melodic singing with screamed passages over riff-driven arrangements; listeners on her Bandcamp page most often reach for Sleep Token and Jinjer as comparisons. She introduced the project with the single Devour Me in May 2025, followed it in September 2025 with Throne of Want, a direct sequel to Devour Me featuring guest vocals from Joshua Zoppellaro, and released Make Us Whole Again in March 2026. All three were produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Mark Williamson at Keywork Audio. Cenobia describes the songs as closely personal, drawing on narcissism, emotional manipulation and codependency, and the project's only public self-description is the line that she writes music for a man who will never hear it. She works entirely under the Cenobia name and mask without disclosing her identity, publishing through Bandcamp and the streaming services and posting as cenobiaofficial. In 2026 the project moved from studio releases to touring at scale: she joined PRESIDENT's North American Campaign 2026 as support alongside Showing Teeth. That run covers roughly two dozen dates from early September to mid-October 2026, opening at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville and taking in the Riviera Theatre in Chicago, Brooklyn Paramount, The Danforth Music Hall in Toronto, MTELUS in Montreal, Theatre of Living Arts in Philadelphia, The Underground in Charlotte, Summit Music Hall in Denver, Neptune Theatre in Seattle, The Wiltern in Los Angeles and House of Blues rooms in Orlando, San Diego, Houston and Dallas before closing in Texas.
